The West Branch boys 8th grade basketball team used an explosive third quarter to pull away from Carrollton in an EBC Championship game Saturday morning at the West Branch Fieldhouse winning 52-20. The Warriors finish the season with a 13-2 record.
Carrollton stayed within striking distance in the first half trailing by just six points at the break 21-15, but West Branch score 20 third quarter points to turn a close game into a blowout.
Seven different Warriors reach the scoreboard with
Austin Olinger leading the way with 16 including four from behind the arc.
Drake Peterson added nine points while
Colton Campbell and
Carlin Jones each had eight.
Josh French finished the day with seven points and
Beau Runk and
McKean Patterson each had a bucket for the winners.
West Branch finished its season with a perfect EBC record and the eight grade class won back to back EBC Championships.
