The West Branch Lady Warrior JV team suffered its first loss of the season tonight in a closely contested game, falling 28-25 to Norton.
With just 19.6 seconds left in the fourth quarter, West Branch had cut the deficit to one point, but a pair of free throws and a missed shot by the Lady Warriors allowed Norton to secure the win.
Leading the way for West Branch was Alinee Bacconi, who finished with seven points. Iris Nezbeth and Carly Loper each added six points in the effort.
With the loss, the Lady Warrior JV team falls to 6-1 on the season. They will return to action after the New Year on January 3, hosting Austintown Fitch at 5:30 p.m. at home.
