Before tonight's varsity game, the West Branch JV team played one of its closest games of the season, falling to Ursuline 36-34. The loss was just their fourth of the year.
The Lady Warriors came out strong, jumping ahead 8-4 early. Ursuline answered with a 15-9 run to take a two-point lead into halftime.
In the second half, Coach Sellaroli's group continued to battle and kept it within one or two possessions the rest of the way. It came down to the final moments, but West Branch ultimately came up just short.
Sisters Sofia and Alinee Bacconi led the scoring with nine and eight points, respectively. Iris Nezbeth added five points, and Elli Colian finished with four.
What's Next: The West Branch girls JV basketball team closes out the 2025-26 season with an impressive 14-4 overall record, including a perfect 4-0 mark in EBC play. Saturday's game against Girard will be varsity only, as the JV contest has been canceled.
