The evening opened with the JV contest between West Branch and Canfield, serving as the preliminary game before the WKBN High School Girls Game of the Week varsity matchup. Coming off a loss in their previous game, the West Branch JV girls looked to bounce back against Canfield.

Both teams played evenly throughout the opening frame before West Branch was held scoreless in the second quarter. Canfield took the lead into halftime and never looked back. Offensive opportunities were hard to come by, as West Branch managed just 12 points in the second half and eventually fell 38–20, dropping its second consecutive game.

Elli Colin led the Warriors with seven points, while Iris Nezbeth added four and Sydney Lane finished with three.

What's Next: The Lady Warrior JV team will return to action on Monday, February 9, when they travel to Warren Howland for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.
