The West Branch JV girls basketball team overcame a slow start to defeat Cardinal, 48–21, on Monday night. After a closely contested first quarter, the Warriors found their rhythm on both ends of the floor and pulled away, never looking back.
Carly Loper led all scorers with 11 points, while Sydney Lane added 10. Alinee Bacconi chipped in nine points to round out a balanced scoring effort for West Branch.
With the win, the Lady Warrior JV squad improves to 12–1 on the season and will return to action Saturday at home, hosting Carrollton at noon.
