As it is every year, the competition at the Cross Country Regional Meet at Boardman was TOUGH.
Thank you to the numerous fans who came out to support WBXC on Saturday and all season long!
Special EBC shout-outs go to the
Salem Girls who took 2nd place of 24 teams at the Division 3 Regional Meet in Boardman! The
Marlington Girls finished right behind them in 3rd place! Meanwhile, at the Division 3 Regional Meet in Pickerington, the
Minerva Girls placed 2nd of 33 teams and the
Minerva Boys took 1st of 32 teams!
All 4 teams will advance to the State Meet. Congratulations to all these EBC teams; we are so proud to be a part of such a strong conference!
For West Branch, finishing in the top 29% of 231 boys was freshman
Logan Williams (18:01)--67th place!
Finishing in the top 35% of 231 boys was junior
Kyle Ormiston (18:15)--82nd place!
Setting
lifetime PR's (Personal Records) at Regionals were senior
John Biggs (20:19), junior
Bennett Biggs (20:28), and sophomore
Aiden Scott (21:41)!
Also contributing excellent races were junior
TJ Greenfield (18:36) and sophomore
Jake Blinn (20:08).
On the girl's side, setting
lifetime PR's were freshmen
Rachel Teague (22:16) and
Luna Woolf (26:48)!
Freshman
Kelly Ewing (22:57), junior
Sonja Sanor (23:55), and freshman
Grace Boyle (24:44) also ended their seasons on a great note.
Lastly, a special thank-you goes out to our seniors,
John Biggs and
Faith Hicks. We are extremely grateful for their leadership and dedication to the team!
