Coach Hancock and the West Branch freshman boys basketball team have made steady strides this season, and it's shown in their performance down the stretch. After a tough 2-9 start, the Warriors closed out the regular season with three consecutive wins—each by less than four points, including a dramatic 31-29 victory over Newton Falls.
Austin Hawk led the Warriors with 13 points, while Jax Rockwell added 6, Cameron McCartney chipped in 5, Mason Cosma contributed 4, and Bryce Parker scored 3. Sevin Woods played a key role on the defensive end, helping limit scoring.
With a 5-9 record to end the regular season, the Warriors will now prepare for the EBC Tournament next Wednesday at Minerva, carrying momentum into the postseason.
