The 7th and 8th grade basketball teams each won big at Salem on Thursday evening. The 7th grade team won 48-21 while the 8th grade team was a 45-30 winner. The 7th grade team improved to 7-6 on the season and 5-4 in the EBC while the 8th grade team is now 11-2 and a perfect 9-0 in the EBC.
The 7th grade team jumped out to a huge halftime lead of 36-4 and led 42-8 after three quarters.
Logan Braden finished with 11 first half points to lead the Warriors including a triple.
Rylan Knipp added seven points and
Owen Riddle finished with five points for the winners.
The 8th grade team opened up the game with a 20 point first quarter and held the Quakers to just two points on its way to victory.
Carlin Jones had a big night scoring 16 points for West Branch. Drake Perterson added 12 and
Colton Campbell finished with eight points.
Weather permitting, the Warriors will face Carrollton in its final EBC contest on Monday at the West Branch Middle School. Tip off for the 7th grade team is 5:30.
