Alliance, OH -- Yesterday, the West Branch Lady Warriors picked up a solid 4–2 win over the Alliance Aviators on the road at Alliance High School.
Addi Craven got the scoring started in the top of the fourth with a clutch home run to center on an 0-2 count, giving West Branch the early lead.
Ellie Tucker was dominant in the circle, earning the win after throwing 4.1 innings of scoreless ball. She allowed just two hits, struck out five, and walked two. Klary McKay came in to close it out and earned the save. Alliance's Alaina Minear took the loss, giving up two runs over five innings with two strikeouts and no walks.
Craven led the way offensively, driving in two runs and going 1-for-3. Mati Hawk and Zoey Carreon each had two hits to help power the offense. Defensively, West Branch also turned a nice double play to help hold Alliance in check.
Alliance spread out its offense, getting hits from six different players. Lilliana White and Lydia Clair each drove in a run, and Alexa Brown led the base running effort with two stolen bases. The Aviators were aggressive all game, swiping five bags in total.
