The 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams each won their semifinal games on Wednesday night to move on to the EBC Championship games on Saturday at Salem High School.

The 7th grade team defeated Alliance 41-20. West Branch led 19-10 at halftime and came out after the break focused and determined to prevent Alliance from getting back into the game. Dake Peterson and Josh French each had standout performances, scoring 16 points.

The 8th grade boys basketball team upset Marlington Minerva 37-34. The Warriors came out strong and never gave up their lead throughout the game. Logan Hawk led the team with 15 points, while Kolin Kaley and Michael McCartney each finished in double figures with 11 points.

The 7th grade team will play Marlington at 10:30 AM, while the 8th grade team tips off against Minerva at 1:30 PM.
