The 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams picked up big victories at Marlington Thursday night. The 7th grade won 49-11 while the 8th grade won 38-12. Both teams are 2-0 on the young season.
The 7th grade team jumped out to a 10-2 first quarter lead and allowed just one second quarter point building a 17-3 lead at the half. The Warriors were led by
Logan Braden with ten points. Three Warriors,
Rylan Knipp,
Jensen Sanor, and Cameron Dickens each finished with seven points.
The 8th grade asserted its dominance early on not allowing a first quarter point as they built a double digit lead and never looked back. Leading West Branch was
Drake Peterson with 10 points.
Josh French and
Austin Olinger each finished with eight points while
Beau Runk had six.
The Warriors will next travel to Alliance on Monday. The 7th grade tips off at 5:30 with the 8th grade to follow.
