The freshman basketball team picked up its second win of the season with a 32-28 victory over Alliance on Thursday night. The Warriors are now 2-4 on the season and 2-4 in the EBC.
The Warriors led 17-13 at the break, but Alliance took control of the third quarter and took a two point lead into the fourth quarter. West Branch would use stingy defense in the fourth quarter allowing the Aviators to score only two points, outscoring Alliance 8-2 in the final frame for the win.
Leading the Warriors on the scoreboard tonight was
Logan Hawk with nine points including big free throws at the end of the game. Michael McCartney,
Judah Kutz, and
Dane Martucci each had six points in the win and
Kolin Kaley added five.
Next up: The Warriors will continue their homestand and play its first non-conference game when they take on Canton Central Catholic on Monday at 5:30.
