The Warrior baseball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Marlington on Wednesday afternoon in a 5 1/2 lightened shortened contest in Alliance. The Warriors are now 4-4 on the season and 1-3 in the EBC.
West Branch got on the board first with a one out rbi single by

Jeremiah Thomas who walked to open the game. The Dukes countered with a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game at one. The game stayed 1-1 until the fifth when Marlington scored two runs to take a 3-1 lead. In the bottom of the sixth the lightning came ending the contest at 3-1.
Grayden Grimm help lead the offense with two hits including a double.
Carter Thrasher also singled while Thomas reached base twice via walks.
On the mound
Evan Springer pitched five innings giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits while striking out four and walking two.
Next up: The Warriors travel to Cene Park on Friday to take on Mooney at 7 PM.
