Last Saturday, 21 members of the Little Warriors Distance Squad competed at the Legends Meet just like their WBXC pals! That is a testament not only to the kids' eagerness to run, but also to their parents' commitment to drive close to an hour each way for it to happen! Were it not for soccer and softball tournament games, close to 30 LWDS runners would have raced Legends!

Not only did our Little Warriors show up to run, they did an excellent job! Some even took home a medal (*) which were given to the top 20 boys and top 20 girls in each race. It was a great way to end a wonderful season of exercising, improving, and having fun!! 

Those participating in the half-mile race for 3rd graders and under included:

3rd grade: Teegan Jones, Nora Pidgeon, and Oliver White*(20th place--boys)

Those participating in the one-mile race for 4th-6th graders included:

4th grade: Jared Brown, Sterling Harris, Dietrich Hensel, Luke Martin, Jayana Mathies, and Julia Teague.

5th grade: Ashtyn Berger, Zeb Booth, Nova Carle, Lara Coffee, Ryan Esterle, Lucy Pidgeon, Jo Robinson, Zachary Wilson, and Alma Woolf

6th grade: Alex Herron*(20th place--boys), Annie Williams*(7th place--girls), and Carson Yost.

Special thanks goes to Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Coffee for getting the LWDS runners warmed-up and ready to go while I (Coach Cederbloom) was still out on the course with the WBXC HS Boys! We could not have participated in this race without these helpers!
