The baseball team's season ended on Saturday as the Warriors fell at Girard 5-4 in 8 innings in an OHSAA Sectional Final.

The Warriors got off to a good start scoring three runs over the first two innings.  Charlie Biskup singled home Anthony Perry in the first inning and with two outs in the second inning Perry doubled home Carter Thrasher who had singled and Boston Mulinix who had doubled.

Girard closed the gap to 3-2, but the Warriors extended its lead with a run in th fourth inning.  The score would stay that way until the seventh when with two outs and two strikes on the hitter, Girard managed a flare single into center field to score two runs and tie the game.  In the 8th the Warriors went in order, but Girard was able to score a run with two walks and two hit by pitches to win the game.  The Indians will face Perry in a district semifinal game on Tuesday.

West Branch had eight hits on the day.  Biskup led the way going 3-3 with a double and two RBI.  Jeremiah Thomas was 2-4 while Perry finished 1-2 with two RBI, two runs scored, and two walks.

Perry was the starter pitching seven innings allowing four runs (three earned) with two walks while striking out nine.  Carson Wike took the loss with .1 innings pitched in the eighth inning.
