Hits were hard to come on Thursday afternoon at Cene Park as both the Warriors and Ursuline managed just four hits apiece, but Ursuline was able to score the go ahead run in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly eventually prevailing 2-1 over West Branch.
Evan Springer led the way for the Warriors with two hits and a run scored.
Boston Mulinix and
Jeremiah Thomas each singled and
Anthony Perry drove in a run.
Perry was the tough luck loser on the mound pitching six innings allowing two runs on the four hits while striking out seven.
West Branch will travel back to Cene Park on Friday to take on Struthers at 5 PM.
