The varsity baseball team fell to Field on Saturday in walkoff fashion 7-6. The Warriors are now 8-13 overall while Field improved to 15-4.
With the game tied at 6 in the seventh inning, the Falcons managed a two out single up the middle to score the winning run. West Branch took a 4-1 lead into the bottom of the sixth but Field managed to take a 6-4 lead after a five run fifth. However, West Branch answered with a two out rally in the sixth to tie the game at six. The score stayed that way until Field took the game in the bottom of the seventh.
West Branch had 12 hits on the day including three by
Dominic Fotheringham. Fotheringham also added a double.
Anthony Perry,
Charlie Biskup, and
Evan Springer had two hits each while
Jeremiah Thomas added a two run single.
Boston Mulinix singled and walked and
Drake Stryffeler added a single.
On the mound Perry went 4.1 innings allowing six runs on eight hits with three walks and two strikeouts. Fotheringham took the loss allowing two hits and one run in 2.1 innings with one wlak and two strikeouts.
The Warriors will travel to Poland on Monday.
