West Branch's 7th inning rally came up just short as the Warriors fell to Austintown Fitch 8-7 on Friday afternoon. The Warriors scored two runs in the seventh to close the gap but couldn't finish falling to 8-12 on the season.
The Warriors took an early 2-0 lead in the second inning, and after falling behind 4-2 in the third, battled back to take a 5-4 lead heading into the fourth. Fitch added two runs in the fourth to take a 6-5 lead and the score stayed that way until the seventh. The Falcons scored two runs in the top half of the inning to take an 8-7 lead before the Warriors battled back to close the gap.
West Branch finished with five hits.

Jeremiah Thomas,
Drake Stryffeler, and
Maddox Coleman each singled. Coleman had two rbi's including a bases loaded hit by pitch.
Grady Close walked three times.
Jeremiah Thomas took the loss on the mound pitching the first 3 innings.
Carter Thrasher pitched the final four giving up two runs on two hits.
The Warriors will close out the week on Saturday as they travel to Field for a 1 PM start.
