West Branch's 7th inning rally came up just short as the Warriors fell to Austintown Fitch 8-7 on Friday afternoon.  The Warriors scored two runs in the seventh to close the gap but couldn't finish falling to 8-12 on the season.

The Warriors took an early 2-0 lead in the second inning, and after falling behind 4-2 in the third, battled back to take a 5-4 lead heading into the fourth.  Fitch added two runs in the fourth to take a 6-5 lead and the score stayed that way until the seventh.  The Falcons scored two runs in the top half of the inning to take an 8-7 lead before the Warriors battled back to close the gap.

West Branch finished with five hits.  Boston Mulinix, Charlie Biskup, Jeremiah Thomas, Drake Stryffeler, and Maddox Coleman each singled.  Coleman had two rbi's including a bases loaded hit by pitch.  Grady Close walked three times.

Jeremiah Thomas took the loss on the mound pitching the first 3 innings.  Carter Thrasher pitched the final four giving up two runs on two hits.

The Warriors will close out the week on Saturday as they travel to Field for a 1 PM start.
