Alliance, OH-- The West Branch JV softball team cruised to a 12-1 victory over Alliance in just five innings. The Warriors came out strong, scoring 7 runs in the first inning, thanks to a combination of patient at-bats, walks, and timely hitting.
Maylin Hartzell earned the win in the circle for West Branch, keeping Alliance at bay. At the plate, Zoey Carreron went 1-for-2 with 3 runs scored. Sydney Libb and Tatum Householder also contributed offensively, each finishing 1-for-2 with 2 runs scored, while Householder added an RBI to her performance.
The next game for the West Branch JV softball team will be a 3-inning contest on Wednesday at Minerva, immediately following the varsity game.
