The West Branch JV softball team defeated Carrollton 5-3 yesterday in a shortened game.

Maylin Hartzell earned the win on the mound, striking out two and allowing just four hits.

Offensively, Kayleigh Simmons, Tatum Householder, and Katelyn Kicielinski each singled. Cameron Wike added a single and an RBI, while Zoey Carreon contributed a double and drove in a run.

The JV team is back in action today at noon, hosting Rootstown at home.
