The West Branch JV softball team outslugged Rootstown earlier today, picking up a 19 to 12 win in a high-scoring contest.
Maylin Hartzell earned the win in the circle, striking out eight, walking eight, and allowing 12 hits.
Cameron Wike led the offense with two hits, including a triple, and drove in three runs. Tatum Householder also had a strong showing at the plate with two hits, one of them a double, and two RBIs.
Elly Biskup, Sydney Libb, Zoey Carreon, Chloey Ramsey, and Katelyn Kicielinski each added two singles. Ciara Evans, Audra Householder, and Maylin Hartzell also contributed with a single each.
The JV team will be back in action on Tuesday at Salem.
