Despite outhitting Alliance 5-4, the Warriors failed to get the big hit tonight as West Branch fell 1-0 to the Aviators. West Branch is now 5-7 on the season and 2-4 in the EBC.
West Branch had plenty of chances with runners on base throughout the night, but could not get the big two out hit to take the lead. Alliance scored its only run in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly.
Evan Springer was the tough luck loser on the mound going the distance allowing just the one run on four hits while striking out one and walking two.
At the plate
Anthony Perry and
Charlie Biskup each had two hits while
Jeremiah Thomash doubled and walked.
Walker Poorbaugh reached base safely twice.
Next up: The Warriors will host Jefferson in a non conference game on Friday at 5 PM.
