The Warrior varsity baseball team fell to 3-4 on the season and 2-1 in the EBC after dropping a tough 2-0 decision to Marlington on Monday.
The game was dominated by both teams pitchers, but a 2-run homerun in the bottom of the first was all that the Dukes would need for the victory.
Anthony Perry was the tough luck loser as he allowed just the two runs on four hits while striking out four and walking none in his complete game effort. Perry helped himself at the plate with a two out double in the first inning.Â
Dominic Fotheringham and
Grady Close also singled for West Branch.
The two teams will be back in action at West Branch on Wednesday. The first pitch is scheduled for 5 PM.
