The varsity baseball team dropped a 5-3 decision at South Range on a cold Saturday afternoon. The Warriors are now 3-3 on the season.
South Range struck first with two unearned runs in the first, but the Warriors were able to get a run in the second and third to build on their lead. The game remained scoreless until the sixth when each team scored and the Warriors tacked on another run in the seventh but ultimately came up short.
West Branch had four hits on the day including two by
Boston Mulinix including a triple.
Jeremiah Thomas had a single and scored two runs while
Maddox Coleman singled and knocked in a run.
Trevor Minich took the loss on the mound pitching two innings giving up three runs but only one earned. Minich struck out four and walked three.
Drake Stryffeler pitched one inning and
Dominic Fotheringham finished the final three innings allowing one run on four hits while striking out four.
West Branch will be back in action on Tuesday at Marlington.
