The West Branch Warrior Wrestling Team opened the season by taking 1st place at the Beachwood
Ron Meade Invitational Tournament with 19 teams. The Warriors placed 9 out of 11 wrestlers that competed.
Winning the tournament by winning their weight class was Carter Day (113), Beau Nezbeth (150), Justin Marra (175), Jackson Shinn (190), and Gavin Hang (215).
Placing 2nd for the Warriors was Jackson McDonald (106). Placing 3rd for the Warriors was Kase Stryffeler (120). Placing 4th for the Warriors was Mahlon Fritz (126) and Case Sanor (132).
Also on the night, big congratulations to Gavin Hang, who won his 100th career victory.
West Branch also opened the season competing at the Malvern Invitational! Placing for the Warriors were Shawn Coker – 2nd at 190, Owen Bloss – 4th at 175, and Graron Grim – 5th place.
