The JV Warrior basketball team improved to 3-4 on the season with a 54-42 win over Beaver Local on Tuesday night.
The two teams played an even first half with West Branch holding a slim one point lead, but the Beavers used a big run in the third to take a 39-32 lead into the final frame. West Branch's defense tightened, allowing only three fourth quarter points, and made its free throws down the stretch to pull away for the victory.
Grady Olinger led the way with 16 points including going 9-12 from the charity stripe. Brock Woost added 13 points including two triples while Mason Cosma had two three's and a bucket for eight points.
The Warriors will return home on Saturday to take on Canfield at 5:30.
