The Warriors 7th grade football team opened league play today with an 8-0 victory over Minerva.  The team improves to 2-2 on the season.

After a great punt by Devin Francis, Beau Runk downed the ball inside the five yard line.  Two plays later John Bates came up with a safety putting the Wariros ahead 2-0.  After a forced fumble and recover by Josh French, Mathew Dorris broke two runs to get the Warriors inside the five yard line.  Drake Patterson would find Garrett Turman for a touchdown to put the Warriors up 8-0 early in the fourth quarter.

The defense held Minerva to only four first downs in the game.

Next up for West Branch will be a trip to Marlington next Wednesday.
