The 8th grade football team defeated Carrollton 42-8 last night on the road. The Warriors took control early in the game and led at halftime 36-0.Â
Logan Hawk passed for 5 touchdowns in the first half bringing his season total to 14 touchdowns on the season with zero interceptions.Â
Brady Colian caught a deep bomb early in the first half while
Gavin Marshall hauled in four touchdown passes on the day. The defense came up with an impressive performance.Â
Brady Colian, Liam Thompson and
Cameron Mason all forced Carrollton into costly turnovers. The defense line was anchored by
Wesley Martin and held Carrollton from any big plays throughout the game.  West Branch improves to 4-2-1 overall and are 2-1-1 in the EBC. The Warriors will look to finish their season off strong next Wednesday home against Salem.

The 7th grade Warrior football team shut out Carrollton last night 22-0 with a brigade of turnovers and strong run defense. Leading the way with interceptions were
Garrett Turman,
John Bates, and
Madden Muhleman. Leading the run defense was Turman with multiple tackles for loss. The defensive line led by
Grant Santee,
Devin Francis and
Austin Olinger had several tackles for loss and sacks as well. Causing a fumble that was scooped up by
Drake Peterson was
Conner Esber. Adding a punt block on the night was
John Bates.
Offensively, the Warriors were able to score 22 points. Scoring the first touchdown of the night was
John Bates. On the next offensive series,
Matthew Dorris scored on a run up the middle and Peterson added the two point conversion. THe final score of the evening was by Peterson on an outside run. He would also add the two point conversion.
With the win the Warriors are now 5-2 on the season and 4-0 in the EBC. They have clinched at least a share of the EBC title and will look to win it outright next week against Salem.
