The Lady Warriors soccer team continued its strong start to the season on Monday blanking the Berkshire Badger 5-0 at the West Branch Soccer Complex. The Warriors are now 6-0 on the season.
Caidee Schroeder got the Warriors going with an early goal and West Branch would never look back.
Elli Colian followed with two first half goals of her own to help build a commanding 3-0 lead at the break.
In the second half,
Grace Bates found the back of the net with a header off of a corner kick and
Ellie Tucker iced the game with a penalty kick to give West Branch its five goal margin.
Cambrie Nezbeth, Colian, Tucker and Schroeder each contributed an assist as the Warriors worked together to create scoring opportunities.
The Warriors also had a strong effort in goal with
Audrey Eaton making four saves and
Addison Dudley adding one save in the shutout.
The Lady Warriors will now turn its attention to EBC play, opening conference competition Wednesday against Carrollton. The varsity-only match is scheduled for a 7 PM start at the West Branch Soccer Complex.
