Canton, OH -- The Warrior train keeps rolling for the West Branch girls basketball program as the team continues its memorable postseason run. After a big 45–32 Regional Semifinal victory, the Warriors will return to the historic Canton Memorial Fieldhouse to take on one of the top teams in the state of Ohio, the Laurel Gators, in the Regional Final.

Laurel enters the matchup coming off a convincing 52–30 victory over Elyria Catholic in its regional semifinal game.

Game Notes
The Gators are led by standout guard Tristian Williams, who averages 22.2 points per game along with 4.3 assists and 3.6 steals per contest. Williams has received numerous Division I offers and is committed to continue her basketball career at UNLV. Other key scoring threats include  Olivia Schneider, who averages 11.9 points per game, and Jordyn Meyer, who adds 11.5 points per game.

West Branch will rely on its signature defensive identity to slow down the Gators. Freshman Madi Hoopes continues to be a focal point on offense, but the Warriors have players who can step up in big moments. Hallie Vie Burton was the one who stepped up Wednesday night, scoring 10 points and hitting two timely threes. Now it could be someone else or multiple players making the difference. That collective effort on both ends will be key, as West Branch has proven all season that it's a legitimate defensive team.
