The Warriors took on the Alliance Aviators on Saturday night in what turned out to be an EBC Championship game as both team entered the matchup with 8-1 league records. The Warriors fought hard but Alliance was too much in the second half pulling away for a 47-38 victory over West Branch. The Warriors drop to 13-7 on the season and finish in second place in the EBC at 8-2.
West Branch managed to pull to within three points at the break on
Landon Coffee's three pointer at the buzzer, but a six point third quarter put them in a deficit they could not over come. With under a minute to play West Branch managed to cut the lead to six with the ball, but could come no closer as Alliance finished the game off for the victory.
Jeremiah Thomas led the team with 14 points including three from downtown. Coffee had a career high 13 points and seven rebounds.
Kasen Weaver finished the night with four points and
Zach Coffee had three.
Grady Hirst led the team with nine rebounds.
Next up: The Warriors return home to take on Austintown Fitch on Wednesday. Tip off is scheduled for 7 PM.
