The WBXC High School Boys and Girls took on an extremely crowded and competitive field at the Legends meet last Saturday. Runners on both teams posted some amazing times on the 5K (3.1-mile) course, with NEARLY EVERY WB athlete who ran at Legends last year setting a course PR (improving on his/her time at this particular meet)! The high school squads also compiled some excellent team scores!
Leading the way for the boys, finishing in the top 24% or higher of a field of 345 boys were
senior Kyle Ormiston--29th place (16:51)*Award-winner
senior Colton Cantwell--75th place (17:39)*Lifetime PR by 17 seconds
senior TJ Greenfield--79th place (17:46)*Lifetime PR by 1 second

Winning the prize for shaving off the most time were juniors Aidan Stuchell (20:57) and Brock Weisel (22:24) who improved their times by a whopping 47 seconds and 1:07, respectively!
As a team, the WBXC HS Boys finished an incredibly impressive 10th of 43 schools (top 25%) in a very competitive field!

Like their high school teammates, the WBXC Middle School Boys and Girls competed at the Legends Meet last Saturday. For their 2-mile course, they also faced crowded, competitive fields. Just like the high school runners, NEARLY EVERY WB middle school athlete who ran at Legends last year set a course PR (improved on his/her time at this particular meet)! Many WB middle school runners rose to the occasion and set lifetime PR's also!
