West Branch fell to Canfield 57-47 Saturday on Hall of Fame Night at the West Branch Fieldhouse. The Warriors fall to 3-5 on the season while the Cardinals improved to 8-2.
The Warriors battled throughout the first half taking a one point lead into the break 31-30. Ice cold shooting in the third quarter ultimately doomed the Warriors as they failed to score a point in the period falling behind 41-31 after three. West Branch found its shot in the fourth quarter, but the deficit was too much to overcome.
Gavin Gregory was West Branch's leading scorer with 17 points which also included two first half triples.
Kasen Weaver tallied 11 points for the Warriors including two three's while
Jeremiah Thomas finished the night in double figures with 10 points and three from beyond the arc.
Next up: The Warriors return home Tuesday to take on Howland at 6:45 PM. The game will also be youth night as our boys youth basketball teams will be honored at halftime.
Before the game West Branch honored its four new inductees into the West Branch Hall of Fame.
