Beloit, OH -- Today, West Branch girls tennis welcomed visiting Southeast hoping to get back in the win column, but the Pirates had other plans. Not only did they win, but they swept the Warriors 5-0.
In 1st singles, Cailyn Brink battled but fell 2-6, 4-6 to Southeast's Miranda Tomko. In 2nd singles, Annabelle McGuire fell 5-7, 2-6, and the Warriors dropped 3rd singles as well as Audrey Miner lost 0-6, 3-6.
The closest match of the night came in 1st doubles when Leah Irey and Abigail Carver lost the first set but battled back to win set two, ultimately losing the third set 7-10. In 2nd doubles, Addison Bloor and Lauren Sanor battled but fell 4-6, 3-6.
JV: West Branch doubles teams lost both JV sets to Southeast.
What's Next: Girls Tennis is back tomorrow at home vs Louisville. The match begins at 4 PM.
