Massillon, OH -- It was finally tournament day for the West Branch boys golf team as they aimed to make some noise at the OHSAA Division 2 Boys Northeast Sectional held at Elms Country Club in Massillon. Coach Edie's team was looking to make it back to districts, but in a tough field of 14 teams, the Warriors finished 11th with a team score of 369, but only three strokes back of 7th place.
Senior
Mason Runk led the Warriors finishing 15th overall in the field with an 85.
Lucas Dyke kept his strong play going, closing out his high school career with an 89 and showing the consistency he's had late in the season.
Gavin Clay added a 94, and
Collin Jones contributed a 101 to the team effort.
Bennett Biggs shot a 103, which didn't count toward the team total.
