Beloit, OH -- The West Branch girls tennis team battled hard on Tuesday evening and came away with a 3-2 victory over Field at home.
At third singles, Abigail Carver showed resilience after dropping the opening set, rallying back to win the next two and secure a key point for the Lady Warriors (1-6, 6-4, 6-4).
In first doubles, Leah Irey and Addison Bloor also bounced back after losing their first set, grinding out a hard-fought three-set victory (5-7, 6-0, 7-5).
Making their varsity debut, Landry Simon and Lauren Sanor delivered a huge win at second doubles, cruising to a straight-sets victory (6-1, 6-1) to clinch the match for West Branch.
With the victory, the Lady Warriors improve to 2-1 on the season. They return to action Thursday at Beaver Local.
