The JV green squad used hot hitting and nine early runs to defeat Salem Tuesday night 11-5 at Salem High School. The team is now 6-7 on the season and 3-5 in the EBC.
The Warriors finished the night with 17 hits including a 4-4 day from Michael Pence. Grayden Grimm, Brady Kerns, Austin Close, Bryce Parker, and Chase Stillon each had two hits for the winners. Close knocked in three runs while Pence scored three.
Kerns picked up the win on the mound pitching four innings allowing three runs on five hits while striking out five. Austin Close pitched the final three frames allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits with two strikeouts.
The Warriors and Quakers will close out their two game series on Wednesday at West Branch High School. The first pitch is scheduled for 5 PM.
