The Warriors varsity's second half comeback ran out of time as West Branch fell to Boardman 54-49 Tuesday night. The Warriors are now 2-3 on the season.
Boardman jumped out to a big first quarter lead 20-10, but the Warriors continued to chip away the rest of the night narrowing the halftime deficit to five. The second half saw an even game between the two squads but the early lead was too much to overcome for the Warriors.
Jeremiah Thomas led all scorers with 18 points including five three pointers.Â
Grady Hirst added 11 points and
Gavin Gregory scored in double digits with 10.Â
Kasen Weaver added seven for West Branch.
Next up: The Warriors host Alliance in a key EBC contest on Friday night. Tip off is scheduled for 6:45.
