The Lady Warriors used stellar defense to blow open a close game en route to its 10th victory of the season 51-21 over Marlington on Wednesday night. The Warriors are now 10-1 overall and 7-0 in the EBC.
Halfway through the first quarter the score stood at 5-4 West Branch as neither team could get much offense going. The Warriors used defense and converted it into offense, scoring the next 13 points blowing open a close game. The Warriors continued the strong defensive play as they only allowed four 1st quarter and three second quarter points holding a 24-7 lead at the half.
Tallie Muniz had a number of blocks keeping Marlington from getting any easy baskets underneath.

Mati Hawk pressured the Duke guards all night getting steals and causing turnovers leading to baskets for the Warriors.
Hallie Vie Burton led the way offensively scoring a game high 16 points including a 3 point basket. Burton was also 3-3 from the free throw line.
Audrey Eaton knocked down two 3's on her way to 11 points for the Warriors while
Ellie Tucker added six points and Muniz five for the winners.
West Branch will head to Youngstown Cardinal Mooney on Saturday, January 11th to take on the Cardinals. Tip off is scheduled at 2:30 following the JV contest.
