The Lady Warriors improved to 9-1 on the season and 6-0 in the EBC with a 41-18 win over Minerva Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors dominated the early going, taking a 7-1 lead after one quarter but the Lions fought back to cut the lead to three halfway through the 2nd period. From that point on it was all Warriors. West Branch took a 19-10 lead into the break and outscored Minerva 16-6 in the third quarter pulling away from the Lions.
Eight Warriors found the score-sheet with
Audrey Eaton leading the way with nine including five free throws.
Hallie Vie Burton was strong down low scoring eight points including four from the charity stripe.
Tallie Muniz also chipped in eight for the winners while
Mati Hawk added five points.
The Warriors will look to extend its EBC lead on Wednesday, January 8th with a trip to Marlington. The JV's tip off at 5:30 with the varsity to follow at approximately 6:45.
