The Lady Warriors varsity team gained a hard fought 36-32 victory on Wednesday night against Salem.  With the win the Warriors close out its EBC schedule a perfect 10-0 and improve to 16-1 on the season.

West Branch would jump out to an early lead but Salem battled back and the two squads were separated by just one point at halftime with West Branch leading 20-19.  Neither team found much offense in the third quarter and heading into the fourth West Branch held a narrow 25-24 lead.

With the Warriors leading by one late in the game, Salem was forced to foul and send the Warriors to the line.  West Branch's Audrey Eaton split a pair of free throws making the first to give the Warriors a 34-32 lead, but after missing the second, Tallie Muniz would come up with a huge offensive rebound getting the ball back in the hands of the Warrior offense.  After an intentional foul was called on Salem and two missed free throws, West Branch would again get the ball into Eaton's hands who would be sent to the charity stripe.  Once again she made the first and missed the second, but West Branch's Ellie Tucker came up the offensive rebound keeping possession to the Warriors.  Salem would foul Eaton for a third time with just over :01 left to go and after missing the first she would make the second icing the game and giving West Branch the victory 36-32.

Eaton would finish the game with 12 points followed by eight by Muniz and six by Presley Egli. 

Next up for West Branch will be a road trip to Canfield on Saturday.  Tip off is scheduled for 7 PM.
