The boys and girls wrestling teams competed in tournaments this past weekend.
The boys team competed at the competitive Eastern Ohio Wrestling League (EOWL) tournament held at Austintown Fitch high school on Friday and Saturday. The boys finished in 14th place with a score of 79.5 out of 29 teams. Louisville won the team title with a score of 243 points. Placing for the Warriors were
Gavin Hang and JJ Marra. Hang finished in second place narrowly losing the championship match 7-5 while Marra placed 5th for the Warriors.
The girls team traveled to Akron North High School on Saturday for the Lady Vikings girls tournament. As a team the girls placed 20th with 59 points out of 42 teams. Maryasville took home the team title with 313 points. Placing for the Warriors were
Jocelyn Brink who finished in 2nd place and
Brooklyn Stoufer who finished in sixth place. Â
The boys team will be back in action on Wednesday with a trip to Jackson Milton. The girls next match will be on Saturday at Top Gun in Alliance.
