The Lady Warriors used strong defense and a big second half to overcome an early deficit to defeat Lake on the road tonight 37-30. With the win the Warriors improve to 8-1 on the season.
Falling behind 8-5 early and 14-13 at the half, West Branch outscored the Blue Streaks 11-7 in the third quarter to take a narrow lead and built on it in the fourth for the victory.
Audrey Eaton led West Branch on the scoreboard tonight with 16 points including seven from the charity stripe.
Ellie Tucker and
Alli Kanagy each scored six for the winners while
Tallie Muniz had four and
Hallie Vie Burton three.
Mati Hawk pitched in a bucket to round out the scoring.
The Warriors will be off until January 4th when Minerva comes to Beloit for an EBC contest. The time of the game is yet to be determined.
