It was tournament time in Beloit as the West Branch girls' soccer team aimed for a deep postseason run, kicking things off against Ravenna. Despite their 5-12 record, the Ravens hoped to pull off an upset, but the Lady Warriors had other plans. They dominated the match from the start, securing an 8-0 victory and ending the game early.
Coach Dean had to be thrilled with the team's performance, as every player contributed to the win. Ellie Tucker was the standout star, netting three goals and providing an assist. Other scorers included Emma Klingensmith, Caidee Schroeder, Allie Brammer, Presley Egli, and Grace Bates, each adding to the team's total.
In addition to their goals, Brammer, Klingensmith, and Egli also contributed assists, while Sophia Dorris and Eliza Hurst each recorded an assist as well. It was a strong showing from the Lady Warriors as they looked to continue their tournament journey.
Goalies Audrey Eaton and Tallie Muniz combined for the shut out in goal.
What's Next:Â With the win, West Branch is crowned Sectional Champions, improving their overall record to 10-2-4. They will face either 8th-seeded Tuslaw or 32nd-seeded Northwest in the next round.
