For the first time this season, the West Branch football team will take the field tomorrow night in front of its home fans at Clinton Heacock Stadium. The Warriors will welcome the Struthers Wildcats, a Northeast 8 Conference opponent, for tomorrow's matchup.

West Branch enters the game 2-0 after a strong second-half performance carried the Warriors past New Philadelphia, 35-7, last week. Struthers, meanwhile, sits at 0-2 after falling 18-6 to Warren JFK last week.

Last Season's Meeting

• West Branch won 55-6

QUICK HITTERS
The numbers back up the eye test... West Branch is averaging 36 points per game and 412 yards of total offense, compared to just 6.5 points and 169 yards allowed on the other side of the ball... Much of that has come on the ground, where quarterback Grady Hirst leads the way with 295 rushing yards and six touchdowns... The rest of the backfield has chipped in too, helping the Warriors to 533 rushing yards on 90 carries, a 5.9 yards-per-carry average, behind an offensive line that has controlled the line of scrimmage early on... On the other side, West Branch has held opponents to just 191 rushing yards and 3.5 per carry.

Struthers has been outscored 60-22 through its first two games, a sign the Wildcats could be in for a long night on the road... Still, West Branch will look to stay focused and avoid any letdown, even if the chances of an upset here are slim.
