West Branch Cruises to 9-0 Conference Opening Win Over Carrollton

Carrollton, OH -- Nine different times Tuesday night, West Branch put the ball in the net. Carrollton never answered once. The Warriors opened Eastern Buckeye Conference play with a 9-0 win on the road, and eight different Warriors ended the night with a goal or an assist.

Dane Martucci led the way with a hat trick. Reed Martucci and Michael McCartney each scored twice, and Ezra Bickle and Kolin Kaley added one goal each.

Eight of the nine goals came off a pass. Reed Martucci and Cruz Leone had two assists apiece, while Mason Thomas, Kaley, McCartney and Alex Cash each had one. Lance Myers took care of the rest, turning away all five shots he faced for the clean sheet.

What's Next: West Branch improves to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the EBC. The Warriors get some rest before hosting Minerva next Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 7 p.m.
