The Lady Warriors soccer team earned a 2-1 victory over Canfield on Wednesday night at West Branch High School to finish the regular season a perfect 17-0.  The 17 wins by the Warriors is a school record as they look at add on in the postseason.

West Branch took control early with Caidee Schroeder finding the back of the net to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead.  Ellie Tucker added to the Warrior lead with a header off a corner kick to extend the West Branch lead to 2-0.  Canfield fought back quickly scoring a goal of its own to cut the Warrior lead to one, but sound defensive positioning and great goal keeping by Audrey Eaton (four saves on the night) kept the Cardinals from tying the game earning West Branch its record setting victory.

Helping on the Warrior goals were Tucker and Cambrie Nezbeth who each had an assist.

The Warriors will now turn its focus to the OHSAA tournament.  West Branch earned the #2 seed in the Northeast District and will face Brookside on Thursday, October 22nd at 7 PM inside Clinton Heacock Stadium in a Sectional Final contest.  Tickets can be purchased online and at the gate.  Tickets prices are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
