Beloit, OH --
After a tough loss to Magnificat on Saturday, the Lady Warriors bounced back in a big way, rolling past Alliance 54–16. The decisive win allowed many players to see extended minutes, with several scoring their first career varsity points.
When West Branch plays its best, it starts fast and that was once again the case. The Warriors jumped out early, outscoring the Aviators 41–5 in the first half, then continued their strong defensive effort by holding Alliance scoreless in the third quarter on the way to the blowout victory.
Audrey Eaton led all scorers with 13 points, while Madi Hoopes added nine. Seniors Tallie Muniz and Sammi Beatty each finished with six points. West Branch also turned in a strong all-around defensive effort as a team, with solid rebounding and interior play throughout the lineup and key contributions from multiple players, including Hallie Vie Burton, along with consistent defensive pressure led by Alli Kanagy.
Also a special congratulations to Madi Brammer and Sofia Bacconi for scoring their first ever varsity points tonight!
What's Next: West Branch will return to action Saturday in a big EBC matchup against Carrollton, which will also serve as Senior Day for the girls basketball program. In the first meeting between the two teams, the Lady Warriors squeaked out a three-point victory over the Warriors of Carrollton.
The JV game will tip off at noon, with Senior Day festivities to follow immediately after, prior to the varsity game scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
