Minerva, OH -- Earlier today, the West Branch girls basketball team traveled to Minerva for an afternoon EBC contest. There wasn't much of a game, fortunately for the Lady Warriors, as they dominated Minerva 56-8. West Branch held the Lions scoreless in the second half, yes, you read that correctly, zero points.
Multiple players contributed to the balanced scoring effort. Freshman Madi Hoops led the team with 14 points, while Audrey Eaton, Tallie Muniz, and Sydney Lane each added seven. Alli Kanagy chipped in five points. Defense played a major role in the blowout, but the offense found its rhythm as well.
What's Next: With the win, West Branch improves to 11-1 on the season and remains a perfect 6-0 in the EBC. The Lady Warriors will return home this Monday to face Cardinal Mooney. The JV team will play a half game at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity tip-off at 6:45 p.m.
