Beloit, OH -- Last night, the West Branch boys soccer team hosted undefeated Poland at Clinton Heacock Stadium in Beloit, looking to keep their unbeaten record intact. Coming into the matchup, the Warriors had outscored their opponents 31-1, but this game proved to be different.
Both teams played evenly through much of the night until the seven-minute mark of the second half, when Poland slipped a shot through the hands of goalkeeper Lance Myers to take a 1-0 lead. West Branch pressed for an equalizer with some late chances, but the rally fell short as the Warriors suffered their first loss of the season, 1-0.
